Payment & Billing Policy
How Diagramy handles subscriptions, trials, taxes, invoices, and plan changes — with Paddle as Merchant of Record.
Last updated July 24, 2026
Overview
This Payment & Billing Policy explains how paid plans for Diagramy work. It supplements our Terms of Service and Refund Policy. Current plan prices and features are listed on our pricing page.
Merchant of Record
Paid subscriptions are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd. (“Paddle”), who acts as the Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payments, collects applicable taxes, issues invoices and receipts, and handles billing-related buyer support on our behalf.
When you purchase a paid plan, you enter into a purchase transaction with Paddle and agree to Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Privacy Policy, in addition to Diagramy’s Terms. Diagramy, Inc. provides the software Service; Paddle is the legal seller of the paid subscription.
Plans and pricing
Diagramy offers Free, Pro, and Team plans. Pro is billed as a flat monthly subscription for a single user. Team is billed per seat per month for everyone in the workspace who can open or review an architecture (including the owner). Pending invitations do not count as seats until accepted.
Prices are shown before tax where applicable. The amount charged may include VAT, sales tax, or similar taxes that Paddle is required to collect based on your location and tax status. Currency and local pricing may vary as determined by Paddle at checkout.
Trials
The Team plan includes a 14-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial, but you are not charged until day 15 if the trial converts to a paid subscription. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be billed for that trial period.
Unless stated otherwise at checkout, Pro does not include a free trial and billing begins when you subscribe.
Billing cycle and renewal
Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Fees are charged in advance for the upcoming period. You authorize Paddle to charge your payment method on each renewal date for the then-current plan price, taxes, and applicable seat counts.
Upgrades, downgrades, and seats
- Upgrades (for example Free → Pro, or Pro → Team) take effect immediately. Charges may be prorated for the remainder of the current billing period.
- Downgrades take effect at the end of the current billing period unless stated otherwise in the billing portal. Downgrading Team → Pro requires reducing the workspace to a single member (yourself) first.
- Seat changes on Team — adding seats may increase your charge (often prorated). Removing seats typically reduces the amount due on the next renewal rather than issuing a mid-cycle refund, except where our Refund Policy or applicable law provides otherwise.
Cancellation
You may cancel a paid subscription at any time through the in-app billing portal or by contacting [email protected]. Cancellation stops future renewals. You retain paid-plan access until the end of the period already paid for, after which the workspace reverts to Free plan limits.
Canceling does not delete your account or Customer Content. After a Team cancellation takes effect, existing members are not removed automatically; their effective access may become read-only under Free plan rules until you upgrade again or remove them. The owner retains edit access.
Invoices and receipts
Paddle issues invoices and receipts for paid transactions. You can usually retrieve them from the billing portal linked in your purchase confirmation email, or by contacting Paddle buyer support. For account or workspace questions that are not payment processing, email [email protected].
Failed payments
If a renewal charge fails, Paddle may retry the payment method and notify you. We may suspend or limit paid features if fees remain unpaid. Access may be restored when payment succeeds or you resolve the billing issue through the portal.
Price changes
We may change plan prices with reasonable notice. Price changes apply to subsequent billing periods after the effective date. Continued use of a paid plan after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price for future periods.
Refunds
Refund eligibility, how to request a refund, and statutory rights are described in our Refund Policy and Paddle’s Refund Policy.
